The New Autoimmune Protocol (2026)
The modern guidebook for today’s AIP journey

The New Autoimmune Protocol (2026) by Mickey Trescott – includes all phases from transition through elimination stages (Core or Modified) to reintroductions, food lists, meal plans and recipes!
If you’re new to the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP), returning after some time away, or wondering whether Core AIP or Modified AIP is the right place to start, The New Autoimmune Protocol is the book I recommend.
Written by Mickey Trescott, one of the founding leaders of the AIP movement and someone whose work I’ve trusted throughout my own healing journey, this is the first major update to the AIP in years.
It brings the different stages of the AIP together in one place — from transitioning into the protocol and choosing between Core and Modified AIP, through elimination and reintroductions — along with food lists, meal plans and more than 70 recipes.
Core AIP vs. Modified AIP
One of the most common questions I get is: What’s the actual difference?
The book explains both approaches clearly:
Core AIP:
The traditional elimination approach, removing grains, dairy, eggs, nightshades, legumes, and seeds.
Modified AIP:
A more flexible approach that may include foods such as ghee, rice, seeds, and certain legumes, depending on individual tolerance and circumstances.
The goal isn’t to find the “perfect” version of AIP. It’s about understanding your options and finding an approach that makes sense for you.
And There’s FREE Community Support!
When Mickey first released The New Autoimmune Protocol, she offered a free community support group to people who pre-ordered the book.
She has now opened that offer to everyone — so you don’t have to be a pre-order supporter to join.
If you’re on the AIP and would like some extra guidance and community along the way, you can join Mickey’s free community here:

Here at the AIP Recipe Collection, my focus is helping you apply that knowledge every day with practical cooking, meal ideas, and ongoing inspiration. They work best together!
