Say No with Grace & Gratitude:
Surviving Holiday Gatherings on the AIP
Family gatherings can be tricky, especially when well-meaning friends and relatives keep offering “just one bite.” My updated Surviving Social Life on the AIP post is packed with tips, including polite “No-Thank-You” scripts to help you protect your boundaries, honor your body, and navigate the holidays with confidence and ease.
🌱 Healing Beyond Food
AIP Cold Weather Tips
Ever notice that you feel more tired, less motivated or just a little more run down as the weather turns colder? You’re not imagining it! Many people experience a seasonal dip in energy and wellbeing as daylight decreases and temperatures drop.
My Flare Care Guide explores this phenomenon and shares practical ways to look after yourself through the colder months.
Stress‑Relief Tips for the Holidays
Even brief moments of calm can help you manage stress and make the busy holiday season feel a little more manageable. Here are a few simple ideas to try:
- 5‑Minute Breath Reset: Pause, close your eyes, and take 5 slow, deep breaths. Inhale through your nose for 4 counts, hold 2, exhale through your mouth for 6. Repeat 3–5 times to calm your nervous system.
- Mini Movement Break: Stretch or enjoy a gentle walk—indoors or outside. Even 5–10 minutes may help ease tension and boost circulation.
- Warm Beverage Pause: Brew a simple herbal tea and sip mindfully for a quiet moment away from the hustle. Chamomile, peppermint, or ginger are great options. Personally, I want to try this Chamomile Latte!
- Digital Detox Minute: Step away from screens. Even a 60‑second pause in silence helps reset your mind and renew focus.

Winning With Leftovers
Leftovers aren’t just convenient — they’re a simple way to reduce decision fatigue and stay on track with the AIP during a busy season and beyond!
• Boost Any Meal: Add diced leftover turkey to any AIP soup or salad.
• Freezer Friendly: Turkey can be frozen up to 3 months. Dice or shred it for easy use later — you can even freeze leftover sides alongside in glass meal prep containers for those low-energy days.
• Food-safety: Leftovers should be refrigerated promptly, within two hours, and frozen before they’ve spent too long in the fridge.
