Welcome to My AIP Seasonal Collection for Back-to-School, Back-to-Work & Busy Days!

Whether you’re packing lunches for school, heading back to work, preparing meals for busy days, or simply trying to get back into a routine after summer, this carefully curated collection of recipes and resources is here to help make the season just a little easier.

Below you’ll find some of my favourite AIP-friendly recipes for lunch boxes, meal prep, grab-and-go breakfasts, portable snacks and nourishing meals.

My hope is that these Seasonal Collections save you time, reduce the overwhelm and inspire you with fresh ideas to help you stay nourished, organized and prepared—no matter what the season brings.

Before You Dive In …

The recipes and resources in this collection come from a variety of recipe creators (some of whom create recipes for broader dietary approaches, not exclusively AIP). While I’ve carefully selected recipes that are AIP-friendly or can typically be adapted for the Autoimmune Protocol, ingredients and formulations can change over time. Always review the ingredient list and only use ingredients and products that are appropriate for your current stage of the AIP.
When in doubt, follow the guidance of your healthcare practitioner and the version of the protocol you’re following.

Looking for AIP-Friendly Ingredients?

Finding compliant AIP ingredients can often feel more challenging than finding the right recipes! Over the years, I’ve spent thousands of hours researching trusted brands, comparing products and building relationships with companies I genuinely feel good about recommending.

Many of the specialty ingredients, pantry staples, kitchen tools and products used throughout the recipes in this collection can be found in my Food Sourcing & Shopping Guide. I’ve organized everything into easy-to-browse categories so you can quickly find what you need without spending hours researching products on your own.

When you choose to shop my recommended brands and affiliate links, you’re helping support AIP Recipe Collection at no additional cost to you. Your support allows me to continue researching, creating curated collections like this one, and providing free resources for our AIP community. Thank you ~ it truly means more than you know. ♥

⚡ Busy Season Survival Strategies

Getting back into a routine can feel exciting… and overwhelming! Whether you’re packing lunches, heading back to work, managing family schedules, or simply trying to get organized after a slower summer, a little preparation can go a long way.

The key to staying consistent with AIP during busy seasons isn’t perfection — it’s having a plan, creating simple systems, and making things easier wherever possible.

Here are some of my favourite strategies for staying nourished when life gets hectic:

Prep Once, Eat Multiple Times

One of my favourite approaches to AIP is what I call “big cooking” — making more than you need so leftovers become tomorrow’s lunch, breakfast, or quick meal solution … because I rarely have the energy for traditional batch cooking.

Look for recipes that:

  • can be made ahead,
  • freeze well,
  • travel easily,
  • work for multiple meals.

Planning & Preparation Is the Key to AIP Success

Meal planning doesn’t have to mean spending your entire weekend cooking. The goal is to create a realistic routine that works with your energy, schedule, and stage of healing. For me, it’s all about the inspiration! Once I have a plan, I know exactly what I need to pick up at the grocery store so I can whip up a delicious meal even when I’m under a time crunch.

If meal planning feels overwhelming, tools like Real Plans can help take the guesswork out of creating a realistic AIP-friendly meal routine.

➡️ Learn more about simplifying AIP meal planning in my review of the Real Plans app … it could seriously save your AIP sanity! (Spoiler Alert: you’ll find a FREE 4 week meal plan and instructions for saving 40% off your subscription in my review.)

Progress Over Perfection

Your AIP journey is about creating sustainable habits that support your life — not adding more stress. It’s nearly impossible to be “perfect at AIP” … and honestly, perfection isn’t the goal anyway! The goal is to keep showing up, finding what works for you, and building habits that nourish your body through every season of life.

Remember:

  • Every effort counts. Small steps and simple choices add up over time.
  • Simple meals still count — nourishing your body is always better than skipping meals.
  • A convenience option is better than going hungry or running on empty (see below for ideas).
  • Stay hydrated — nearly every system in your body relies on water, don’t underestimate this simple habit.
  • Focus on the wins. Stack small habits, celebrate your progress, and keep moving forward.

🥣 AIP-Friendly Convenience Options

Sometimes the biggest challenge with AIP isn’t knowing what to eat — it’s finding the time and energy to prepare everything from scratch.

Convenience foods can absolutely have a place in a healing lifestyle, especially during busy seasons.

The key is finding options that align with your needs and your current stage of AIP (which I know isn’t always easy, depending on your budget and where you live)

Remember: convenience is a tool — not a failure to “do AIP properly.”

Some of my favourite resources for easier AIP days:

Ready-to-Eat & Grab-and-Go Options

When you’re low on time (or energy), having a few trusted options available can be a lifesaver.

Explore:

  • AIP-friendly snacks
  • portable protein options
  • easy pantry staples
  • freezer-friendly meals
  • dining out (yes, it is possible!)

Better-for-You Treats & Baking Shortcuts

Sometimes you just need a little help in the kitchen!

AIP baking mixes and specialty products can make it easier to enjoy familiar foods without spending hours experimenting.

Eat G.A.N.G.S.T.E.R cookie, cake, frosting and brownie, flatbread, waffle/pancake mixes are delicious! They were created to bring joy to those on a healing diet, and they definitely meet the brief!

It Takes A Village

Convenience foods can be wonderful when they’re available, but depending on where you live, they may not always be easy to find—or fit within your budget.

If that’s the case, remember this: it’s okay to ask for help.

When I was first navigating the AIP and feeling overwhelmed by fatigue, meal prep and everything that comes with living with autoimmune disease, I quickly realized I couldn’t do it all on my own. Family and friends often want to help—they just don’t know how.

Instead of saying, “I’m fine,” consider asking someone to spend an afternoon batch cooking with you, prepare a freezer-friendly meal, chop vegetables, make a double batch of your favourite AIP snacks, or simply help stock your freezer for the busy weeks ahead. Those small acts of kindness can make an enormous difference when your energy is limited.

Building a support system isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s one of the most important parts of navigating life with autoimmune disease.

This thoughtful article from Urban AIP on asking for help while living with chronic illness is a wonderful reminder that none of us were meant to face this journey alone.

🌱 Healing Beyond Food

The Autoimmune Protocol is about more than what’s on your plate.

Food is an important foundation, but healing also includes supporting your nervous system, managing stress, moving your body in ways that feel good, and creating routines that support your overall wellbeing.

During busy seasons, I encourage you to focus on small, sustainable habits:

Give Yourself Grace

Busy seasons have a way of making us feel like we should be able to do more, cook more, accomplish more and somehow keep everything running smoothly. But living with autoimmune disease typically means working with a different set of circumstances—and that’s okay.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned on my healing journey is that healing isn’t just about what we eat. It’s also about slowing down, letting go of perfection and treating ourselves with compassion.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, I invite you to take a few moments to read my post on Healing Through Ho’oponopono—a simple practice that reminds us to replace self-judgment with kindness … approaching our healing journey with a little more grace.

➡️ Read: Healing Through Ho’oponopono

Stress Support & Self-Compassion

Busy seasons often remind us — sometimes in ways we’d rather avoid — that nervous system support matters too. Even small moments of rest, connection and self-compassion can help us feel more grounded and supported.

Remember to give yourself the same compassion you would offer a friend.

Vanessa Woodburn, Nutritional Health Coach

Creating Sustainable Routines

If you take one thing away from all of this, I hope it’s this: the best routine is the one you can actually maintain.

Whether that means meal prepping, scheduling rest, drinking enough water, or simply taking a few minutes for yourself — those small choices matter.

This is YOUR AIP journey. No two journeys look the same, and that’s okay! Let go of the comparisons and focus on creating a routine that supports you, your life, your energy and your season of healing.

🌿🍓 When the garden is in full swing and you can't 🌿🍓 When the garden is in full swing and you can't keep up with the kale, it's time to make kale chips 😋

🌿 Wash and thoroughly dry your kale
🌿 Rip kale and toss it in a bowl
🌿 Massage well with 1 tbsp of coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil, making sureall pieces are completely covered.
🌿 Spread kale in a single layer on a parchment lined baking sheet .. try not to overlap pieces so they dry out well in the oven.
🌿 In an oven preheated to 350, bake for 15 minutes.
🌿 If there are pieces that aren't completely dry and crisp, return the pan to the oven for a few minutes with the heat turned off.
STORE in an airtight container once they've cooled, or enjoy straight out of the oven.
🤤When your chips are fresh and warm they're reminiscent of popcorn 🍿 and makes a great snack.

Enjoy!
